Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):
Work in the team on the development and introduction into production of new processes and products in the field of microfluidics and micro-components made out of glass and glass ceramics.
Support engineering in the maintenance and improvement of current processes and products.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Conduct experiments under supervision, collect data, record and present results.
Assist engineering with introduction of new products and transfer into production.
Assist engineering in the development of new processes and the qualification of new tools.
Set up, and test production metrology tools and manufacturing tools like laser bonders laser dicers and conventional dicers. Organize material flow and processing of small, experimental batches.
Conduct qualitative material inspection.
Provide information that supports manufacturing operations, such as design, documentation, implementation and validation of equipment and process changes.
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)
Associates degree in science/engineering or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment in the field of MEMS, or semiconductor process engineering.

Dexterity working with delicate parts and tools.

Experience in material processing using lasers.
Experience in working in cleanrooms.
Experience in semiconductor metrology.
Experience in teaching operators.
Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership)
Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
